There are a total of 17 murals in Malax (2022), ten of them are painted via Malax Municipality's project in collaboration with the artists. Some of the murals have received partial funding via the Swedish Culture Fund (Svenska kulturfonden). Seven of the paintings have been created via Art in Malakta's Mural Rural project. There are eight murals in Yttermalax, two in Övermalax, three in the Pixne area (Malakta), two in Petalax and two murals on Bergö.
